Even worse when you come in fully typed and current, then get stuck on a 3 year lock. Very little cost to recover from our training program. The benefit is all on the company's side.
Now, I know what some will say: "You knew it coming in!" Yes we did, but what myself and my light twin cohorts didn't know was that they'd immediately hire 150+ guys behind us into the whale with no hope of getting sprung early for good behavior. Most of us involuntarily assigned to the 767 feel like we're just serving a sentence before our seniority can finally mean something at this airline. We're just stuck in limbo while junior pilots are filling vacancies in the bases of our choice.
But, at least they're paid more.
