Under this rule, they have -no chance- if the coin flip doesn't go their way and the other team scores TD on their first possession.
It's lame. Both teams should have a possession.
SEA obviously couldn't stop the Broncos with only 56 seconds and no timeouts, or they wouldn't have been tied in the first place.
I tend to agree. My point was that the existing rules are an improvement over the original sudden death rules, where a good kickoff return followed by a long FG ends the game.
I would like to see some version of how college does it, with a way to avoid the occasional triple and quadruple O/Ts. It certainly is a lot more entertaining, and truly fair.
