Its a bit of a stretch to say the job skills effort is directly related to speculative thoughts about the future of the company. Any pilot at any airline should be constantly working on their interview skills and have up to date resumes at all times. You never know when that interview call will come or you are downsized...are you ready?

Having been downsized before, you can waste weeks getting up to speed on a job search and this time its costing you your savings.

-IOE should last no more than about 3-4 trips. (30 days) Some have taken longer but that is typical.

-As mentioned by others here, those who washout were likely given every opportunity to succeed. AWAC historically has given extra time to those who need it and have a good attitude and work ethic.

3-4 trips?!?!

Good gawd! A four day and a two day should be plenty for IOE. 30 hrs or so, done.
