The problem with that thinking is, as the whole industry races to the bottom, pretty soon everything will be an outlier.
OJI banks are CRITICAL in this job. A simple injury can remove you from the cockpit for 3 months easily. In a normal job, a twisted ankle or knee keeps you of work for a week at most.
LTD is an insurance benefit which I pay for. The economy stinks, at least if I lose my ability to fly, I have supplement to replace some of my income while training for a new job. Lets keep it for LXJT, if ASA doesn't want it, fine.
