Unless you've got a cure for cancer, this matter is just as pressing. Even if this particular report is just hot air from the Iraqi PM, there are events in motion and subsequently thwarted constantly. Some of the airlines have very good security folks with knowledge of such things if you ever get a chance to talk to them...it will never be in print.
I understand your point and agree.
My point is that the basis for this economic harm will originate in the public's
irrational fear of death by terrorism. I can distinctly remember reporters shoving their mic's in peoples' faces at the airports a month after 9-11 and asking passengers if they "thought it was safe to fly," (and thereby insinuating -- contrary to the mountain of statistical data proving otherwise -- that it wasn't.)
