Actually, that is not correct. Fox News (and believe me, after years of FBO TVs glued to FNC I cannot f'ing stand that channel) gets breaking news out MUCH faster, and often times, their sources for breaking news are more accurate/reliable than other news providers.

Also, I'd argue NBC News (which MSNBC has direct access to) is one of the very best in the world, arguably behind BBC but ahead most anybody else. MSNBC's failings are one of ideological slant to how stories are presented, and not NECESSARILY the stories themselves.

CNN...well, I think they are the most middle-of-the-road of the Big 3 cable news networks politically (talent slants left, I think the 'news' is mostly objective) but their sources and filler-level reporting are God-awful (witness Malaysian 370).

Politico is generally my domestic go-to.
