Yes, that number is in the 770 range if you count those who left and the new Captains added. But if you do that then eventually, two decades or so but hopefully less, we can say C2012 caused 12,000 new Captains.

I don't think C2012 "caused" any CA slots (yet)... AFAIK, the rumored alternate plan for DAL consisted of around 40 A-319's/717's. It's the next 40ish that are where the supposed gains come from. YMMV, it's in the past, and we are less than 6 months from opening with a much better starting position.
