I do know that if 100% of your vacation is in one month, you cannot slide it partially into a later month.
Im pretty sure that a slide has to be within a calendar month. Iow, it can't sit on two bid periods.
Another thing to consider with the slide. If you aren't senior enough to hold a holiday off as a line holder, perhaps you can hold it off with reserve. The last couple of years this was always my fall back position. I'd ask off what I wanted "slide+5" with days off XXX. Else start next bid res and then slide. I've always gotten what I asked for, sometimes just had to bid res to get it.
