I've been pretty much available for jury duty for 25 years, and the very 1st time I absolutely can't go (or have a military deployment as an excuse), I get a summons.

Remarkably, there is a phone number to call and give your sob story. I was able to move the jury duty into 2015 so I'll be done with IOE and be sitting reserve by then. I can't believe it was that easy to fix, I thought I was screwed for sure.
