I filled it out and have urged others to do the same. But "others" absolutely will be attempting to decide for you. Donatelli saw what worked for O'Malley and he will use the exact same template. The MEC administration will completely ignore the survey and draw up an opening position that they feel best meets the requirements of ALPA/management. They will of course never release the survey results or the opening position. Our reps will give direction and it too will be ignored and a TA signed. The reps will then be dared to vote NO under the threat of all out collapse of the "union's" internal structure. The reps will cave in to the pressure. Then we members will face the same threat as our reps.

That is the definition of others deciding for us. The only open question is whether we members will accept yet another minimalist contract that costs our wildly profitable company almost nothing extra. If we do, we deserve what we have...which is the best union representation that management can pay for.
