Last time I checked, Embraer is still making new E145s...they might not have found 145s at a price they wanted but thats not to say there weren't any available...
There were banking on XJT giving those planes back. That is what I meant when I said XJT sort of faked out Continental and CHQ, or at least surprised them.
As for EMB-145s, no -- the production line is closed. Apparently XJT is the only carrier that can get it back open again, unless someone else placed a large order for XRs or something.
It doesn't matter though; there will be
plenty of ERJs in the desert in a few years.
