only reason to even remotely consider coming here is if you live in base. this career and especially a place like RAH is not worth living in some other part of the country and dealing with crash pads and commuting. Cannot emphasize that enough. The pay and work rules here lag pretty much every other comparable regional and it rears its head daily in both your QOL and your biweekly paychecks. Dont be fooled either with the announcement of added planes for United. With the parking of CHQ planes and the Qs, there is no upgrade in sight, especially when compared to other regionals at the moment.
