New to the thread, but I'm very interested in Spirit and am curious how competitive I am, and what kind of time frame is typical from phone interview to class date (assuming no hiccups, and none of which I am taking for granted!)? I'm an Eagle captain on the CRJ, with about 7,600 TT/850 TPIC, and have several internals, BUT I've never been able to make a job fair.
I'd love a DFW base, and am looking to stay at Spirit indefinitely. I have looked at the legacies, and don't like what I see. For me, its all about the culture, and being able to drive to work is a big bonus. If I wanted the big legacy, I'd just flow to AA, but from what I've read on here, and talking to my friends, the 'vibe' at Spirit is excellent, and that speaks volumes.
Lots of your guys coming over so I think you are way better off than you think. The last vacancy bid showed 7 (I think)Envoy guys in the class. They have always liked RJ guys and it appears the Envoy guys already here have developed a good reputation.
The junior base seems to bounce around between DFW, ACY and LAS so I am sure you could be based in DFW quickly if not right away.
