That is incorrect Alan. Collective bargaining rights were gained through legislation after the era of the robber barons. During that era the free market reigned supreme and it was very Darwinian. Collective bargaining rights along with other legislative victories have created our current markets which seek to minimize the distortions that can happen in a free market system.
Our power comes from collective bargaining...not the free market. You're speaking like a manager in a non-union company.
