Default Lineholder Deviation from Deadhead

I'm looking at November bids and there are multiple pairings with deadhead on the front and back of the trip to cover another domicile's flying (not sure why it's not TDY).

Can someone help me with the procedure for a line holder deviating from scheduled deadhead and the gotchas I may encounter deviating (single leg, hub to hub).

1.) Do I just wait until the pairing is assigned, then call futures to change the deadhead (they put FAKE in the deadhead segments?).

2.) What is the affect on pay? I'm still paid the DH time in the original pairing, right?

3.) What is the impact on the hotel transportation and hotel? Do the reservations disappear with a deviation? Anyway to preserve transportation of hotel when deviating?

I've read the contractual language but would appreciate hearing how the company is (trying) to administer the section.

Many Thanks!
