Question: is the thrust upgrade a flip of a switch, as it is on the A-320 and A-319? (same engine; thrust rating depends on which type it is hung on....switch change on the fuel control unit).

You weren't suggesting changing engine types, were you? I would think that would be economically impractical.
I was just referring to an old 756 newsletter circa 2012-2013 and this was what he had said was happening via hkg. Haven't heard a word since so I was just curious if this is still an ongoing thing if it was finished or if they trashed the idea. Inquiring minds "mine" wanted to know. I'm on the 752 (Lcal side)
