I flew with several that couldn't make it through CRJ initial a few years ago. I guess necessity can be a great motivator, so maybe things will be different for those guys. But then again, some of them didn't even understand the "FMS" in the bro.
If the old school folks want to keep their job, they should have already bid a jet class...that way if they fail they can go back to the bro, wait six months, and try again. I think the vast majority would pass after the benefit of repeating the training twice in six months. Several folks that I know have already done this process.
But if you wait until the bro is gone, then you're fired if you flunk out.
