The first class is off their locks already. 4 from that class were released by the company earlier this summer, and from talking to one of the other pilots in that class the other night, at least 3 want to stay on the 767, leaving 2 who might jump.

The 2nd and 3rd classes were released on Oct. 1st, another 20 pilots. Most want to jump, but a few of us want to stay put.

However, if the company decides to run a vacancy award on the 15th of this month, only the first class is eligible, as the bid snapshot is taken on the 31st. Thus a few more new hires could go directly to the 747. After Oct., any 747 new hire slots go to released 767 pilots first. Additional 767 classes will be released in March, April and July.
