+1 on transferring to the AC side if possible. Def. look into the QAT process. Before I left there were posters all over the office regarding the transition over and the requirements. When I first went to string the majority were of course GA guys and they'd been doing much more in the office than I had in my AC office.
Jump forward to year two if I had stayed and they're slammed with much more work and responsibilities than I could have ever imagined. If you can find a position in a CMO and you'd like to be near airplanes and getting more than 10 miles from an airport do that. When I left, I scheduled for 777 class and I would have been heading to Europe and either the Mid-East or Far-East probably twice a month. That wouldve been great except it would be in the jump seat for the most part and still not flying. You'll find that once you hit your first year people will be trying to jump all around the system and find their own niche'.
