To get the thread back on track...rumor I heard today, so I'm spreading it. We're supposedly getting 12 early production, overweight 787-8s that nobody else wants early next year. Probably getting them for about $29.99 each. Also, SD was in France last week with a bunch of 4th floor types, finalizing a deal with Airbus. Talk amongst yourselves.
I could only see that 787 rumor coming true if we also got other 787's. As in the ones we have on order in 2020. Or the pending RFP…for ones that would likely start arriving by…2020. Wait, what?
In any case, a tiny new fleet of 12 underperforming pigs that would still be expensive (just less insanely expensive) makes no sense unless we're getting more later. And sooner than later at that. JMHO.
