Yes, an even compensation playing field for all pilots was part of the MOU to more smoothly facilitate the
Merger process, not the SLI process per se. Although the SLI is essentially the final component of the merger process, the compensation parity issue was a fair way to establish an interim structure until a joint contract (JCBA) was agreed upon and in place. As it stands now, there still are some differences in the contractual provisions of each pre-merger group, but pay rates are uniform. However, this aspect is likely to weigh little in determining the pre-merger conditions of each of the carriers and then what weight that aspect will be applied to the final integration model. Yes, all benefitted from the merger and that in and of itself may also be considered and weighed, but what each BROUGHT to the merger is not impacted by the present pre-SLI pay if that's what you're getting at.
