Fresh off Probation new hires have recently been hired as sim instructors. With a January class date though he will absolutely be able to upgrade in a year.
Define a lot? There isn't a regional that pays "a lot" by my definition. The best paying regional is the one that gets you to the majors the fastest. Period.
Someone else also brought up the idea of having to explain in an interview why you were hopping airlines at the regional level. One could assume that the same person might do the same thing at the majors (the grass is always greener...).
