Hey Gents,
Just thought I'd offer my .02. Only been here a year (one of the 40K numbers) and I am sure all parties involved in this conversation would agree that the VAST majority of pilots, both CAs and FOs are great people and tremendous Airmen. Admittedly, there are a few pilots , 3 stripes or 4, who are tools. I have had nothing but great experiences with the CAs that I've flown with, regardless of their upgrade time. I know the bad ones exist, but I have been fortunate not to have flown with any of them. On the flip side, I just transitioned and there were a few of the guys recently hired who had a huge ego. Not sure if that was bravado or an actual indication of personality. I can say, that if I were Captain who's been flying a CRJ for several years and I had "that" guy sitting next to me attempting to "impress" me with his flying skills, I would not hesitate to put him in his place.
Before I get crucified there were also some exemplary new hire pilots in the class as well just to be clear. I think by and large Skywest has done and will continue to do a great job selecting its pilot group.
KoolAid anyone?
