I was standing in the door two days ago saying goodbye. A guy reached out to shake my hand as he left. You guys know there's always one or two on every flight. This time without even thinking, I hesitated. He looked kinda puzzled but kept walking. I felt bad about it.
I'm not a germophobe but I've always been a little unsure about the wisdom of the handshaking. I've always done it though. Now there's no way I'm doing it. I'm not sure I'll be standing in the door anymore either.
The CDC policy is a joke. Questionnaires and taking temperatures. If the CDC is not going to keep people from the Ebola countries from flying, at least I don't have to stand there and expose myself to them.
