I completely understand what seniority means and that you should never pass up a class date.

However, I have a incredibly packed schedule for the rest of the year (vacation that I've paid for months ago, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.) and I don't know if I'd be able to make that class if I were offered it. Does anyone know what sort of new hire class outlook there is for next year besides what the potential number of new hires may be?

I am by no means taking this for granted, but if offered this opportunity, I don't know if I could take it before the new year.

FWIW...there was an outstanding gentleman that I interviewed with last year. He was offered the job however he could not make the initial class we were assigned. He explained his prior commitments and asked to get into the following class. He was not given that opportunity. It worked out well for him because a couple months later he was hired at JetBlue, but if you get offered the job plan on going to the class you're assigned or plan on going elsewhere.
