One thing is always certain: Piedmont executives are nothing more than middle managers of US Airways Group. They have no control over the aircraft they fly, or the schedules. They never have. They act and react at the direction of US Airways marketing department.

What they do periodically, is make announcements about different airplanes, schedules, mergers, etc., designed to create false hope and stem the tide of exodus, thereby saving training costs.

Proof of this theory can be found in the fact that nothing Piedmont management has suggested, or researched has ever come to fruition. Ever.
