You're not the first person that has told me my medical insurance was paid by the union while on furlough. It was not. My understanding is there was a vote and it was voted down. Then the union told the membership that if any individual wanted to help another they could. I received several checks from a not super senior captain that helped me maintain my medical coverage. I am extremely grateful for his help during that tough time in my life.
