If you were paid the same no matter which aircraft you flew, I think eventually the seniority on all flees would be very similar. So if you are halfway up the 737 list you would also be halfway up the 330 list. The opportunity to fly a small aircraft so you can have holidays off and a summer vacation would not be there.
That's a fair point to a degree, but I don't think it will be as drastic as you make it. I do believe that each category will be more senior, but with a properly negotiated vacation/leave section, I don't see what you describe as a problem. I'll betcha that international will go more junior than it is now. But some people just have a woody for the big iron, so you could be right. I think with only 18 super premium airplanes, we are hamstringing ourselves downstream because that is the pay rate that determines the rest. And there will be no more 777s added to the fleet.
