I was just amazed at the roadshow for the jcba how an asa rep answered a question that it was the best deal for everyone when he was going to get a raise as a senior asa guy and i was keeping my old rate (3 cent/hr raise) PLUS losing my DC plan (i.e. pay cut).
This is going to be the main problem with a new jcba, the asa folks have to be brought up to the l-xjt level benefits - isn't that an argument why the asa mec should give up on flightline ... your pilots are going to be getting much more out of a new jcba than the erj guys, a little give and take
Agreed that it would be best if we were able to be brought up to the erj level on those things. However, its not worth while to me to give up our pbs, which is better, there by reducing my QOL because I can't get what I want in my schedule so that we can have those things.
