No. The A plan funds reside within the individual airline. It's not "industry wide". And a lot of airlines have lost or are losing their A plans. It's a prime target for airline management during contract negotiations and bankruptcy proceedings.
An A fund is really not even a fund, per se, not something you can touch. As far as we're concerned, like all defined benefits, its a "promise" to pay, where as with a B fund, once its in your account, its yours to manipulate and nourish or trade away!
