Most of the folks I fly with are awesome, very experienced, and leave me learning new and better ways to improve myself as a professional pilot.
But I have very little tolerance for condescending jerks, and at this point I've seen enough to know such attitudes are created by high levels of insecurity. Maybe they're afraid of the airplane or aviation, or a bad home life, etc. It's very predictable, and it's not something I enjoy witnessing.
Your posts indicate differently, I have read you on other forums, you let your character slip through the keyboard, I have less tolerance that type of stuff.
Excerpt from another forum, not yours, but another guy:
"They should attack the highest earners to cut cost, thats the people who have the most flexibility with there schedules and manipulate their schedules to maximize their pay. You want cheap labor get the top 3rd of the company out of the way and that would change many things for the company. Its simple math. Regionals are supposed to be a temporary career progression."
This is what prompted this latest rant. Oddly almost every time I go to those forums I am profoundly disappointed, I guess I keep hoping that this type of stuff would go away, but it has actually increased.
So while 911 jammed my career and that gift that kept on giving, was destiny, I am no more lifer than any newhire, I was looking for a job then and I am still looking, just like you and many others here. So you keep on applying as I still update my stuff whenever I get the chance, let's say it's often.
