Ebola is pretty fresh. We've had a guy die and several U.S. contractions. It's going to get worse before it gets better.
Silver lining: Better non-reving and cheaper hotels.
I don't think its going to have that much of a long term effect unless we completely fail to enact reasonable measures for screening etc.
If someone in the US has it and can spread it, the uninfected are no less likely to get it from a grocery store, movie theatre or ball game as they are from an airplane.
