SGU has won, it's not that I can't do this job any longerI don't really want to. F-the majors, after Nov, if I am still in this industry it will be a miracle. If this job continues to deteriorate at the rate it has during my participation, it will be a short few years until it is unbearable for everybody, top to bottom. The thought of commuting to Newark to sit reserve for UAL is equally repugnant.
It has become evident to me that while I like to fly, I don't really like this industry, nor the job.....
I feel your pain. The trip mix in DEN has become so lousy that something like 75% of people are doing exclusively four days, and people are volunteering for ASE just to get away from the 4-on-2-off cycle. I know more than a few people who thought they'd stay here with their cushy schedules who are now contemplating leaving because they can no longer hold locals and two-days and figure if they're gonna be stuck doing a 4-day they might as well do it for Southwest or Frontier or commute for United until the day comes they can hold DEN again. Maybe the company is doing it on purpose? That's one way to increase attrition at the top, I guess.
