While it's refreshing it's not what Delta prefers who else could really fly these things? I expect to see a trickle of planes go to SKW in MSP and LASA in DTW. Then the large reminder probably go to AWAC when the contract they currently has ends. There really wouldn't be too much of a service interruption if it happens like that. It does make the most sense to simply transfer these airplanes to SKYW or L-ASA, however, Delta has proven to be very unpredictable with their treatment of the Connection providers in recent years, therefore, while I would be surprised if AWAC became a DCI carrier, it wouldn't be totally groundbreaking news considering how Delta has been handling the DCI flying lately. If AWAC does in fact become a DCI carrier, I would applaud as AWAC did not take a concessionary contract to gain such flying and it would tamper down any uncertainty that might exist right now.
