At Skywest they allow ASA pilots who come to Skywest to be the most senior pilots in class. Is this the case at Delta? Will 20 compass guys be the most senior guys in the class?
The CPZ pilots get a seniority number on their virtual class date. That would be their actual class date if the company didn't hold them back. Since they are always held back, they show up for class with "higher" seniority than non flows in the class. However your class date might also have flows in your actual class as their virtual class, and you all would get numbers based on SSN like everyone else. Then they are usually held back and won't show up for 2-3 months.

They also usually show up with equipment pre-assigned, so they usually don't "outbid" the rest of the class which is merely bidding on that the company released based on vacancies anyway.
