I would recomend Jeppesen for your textbooks and Gleim for your test prep software. Those two combined ensure a thorough presentation of all knowledge essential to becoming a well rounded pilot. The Jepp textbooks will always serve as good reference material. I used Jeppesen for private, instrument, commercial and flight instructor. And used the Gleim test prep software a week leading up to each written exam. The software emulates the actual type of testing system you will use( lasergrade, cats...). My average scores on writtens was 95. Lowest was 93 highest was 98. Again, I think the combo of the Jepp and Gleim works great. Good Luck!
