How the heck do you afford a ACOG on regional pay? I prefer the Eotech for CQB because I can keep both eyes open and still sight the rifle. I'm right handed and very left eye dominant. Throw on a 3X Eotech magnifier and you have a good 100-200 yrd man scope. Anything more precise than that and I break out the .30 Cals.
I run the carbine in matches with the Eotech BTW. Fun as hell.
You'd be amazed with all the toys they have. Most new hires had the latest smart phones & tablets, new cars, $1000 Bose head set, Starbucks every leg. But no $1 to tip the van driver.
