Pittsburgh will soon see the arrival of SunAir Express. Looks like a Florida based Navajo Chieftain operator. Flights will go to Lancaster, Jamestown NY, Lancaster and Franklin / Oil City and Altoona.

Ultimately the carrier plans 50 PIT departures a week for these destinations. All service will be under Essential Air Service agreements.

This is the first carrier I have seen in a long time starting out with recip equipment. Who knows, it just might work. It has in the past. Comair started that way
