Hoping this means they aren't going to do the usual in December. Put 10 plus standbys a day in open time, pretend like there are no reserves, and disallow any trades, even over the same footprint. I would think it would be a benefit to both the crew force and the company to do so.
Every crew member has been on this property long enough to know that FEDEX management does NOTHING to benefit the crew force...........especially BM. This was done solely to benefit the company. It may very well benefit crew members, but that is a by-product. They need bodies for peak, and they know that at least 50% of us (probably more) will work overtime at straight pay and fly extra (especially in the 777), which will solve their "peak" manning problems (See DLAX85's thread
