It says you fly on the 747. You may want to ask your guys why they wanted the fence? I believe the fence was requested by the LUAL committee to protect the 747 guys so the arbitrator put the 787 on there to make it equal. If UAL didn't ask for a fence I don't think there would be a fence.

It was ABSOLUTELY a boneheaded move on the LUAL negotiating committee's part. Their one real misstep in my opinion, but a big one. No one to blame but ourselves on that one.
HOWEVER, this announcement doesn't change the current timeline of the 25th airplane from Jan 2016. The order conversion was for 787-8's that were not supposed to deliver until 2017-2018. This is a good move, as the 8 is not the best variant out there
