Default Who sets the altitude pre-selector?
AP OFF-PM
AP ON - PF
When ATC gives a HDG, ALT, FREQ change and possibly a crossing restriction = one less item for the PM to miss, ie
(ALT Bust)

Cleared for Approach
- 2 bells
- APPR
