Simply being hired at an airline doesn't make one an expert on getting hired there. I really tried to find "Scott"'s profile or qualifications on his website, and couldn't. Kit Darby did the same thing (and made big bucks), a jumpseater told me another company in Seattle (I think they're Alaska pilots) did it as well, and I just have to wonder.
As far as my "motif" (I assume you mean motivation)...What is it about a job fair that would possibly cost $119? Based on your response, I have to wonder what it is you are defending and why? I don't have a horse in this race, but I have seen the cycles over and over - the job fair thing is one that sticks in my craw as being one thing that has completely exploited wishful job-seekers by bending them over price-wise. No real emotion, just shaking my head as to what makes some of these people "experts", and the ruse is that they are "doing us all a favor" by holding expensive job fairs while raking in the bucks. That's all - no big deal, just wondering what motivates these people other than money. I'm not looking for a job - got one, thank you.
They would never hire me to be a counselor

. A quick peek at your past posts on APC show me that you favor Lori Clark. In fact, you have blasted many companies in the past that offer services to better candidates. Just like Lori Clark ,they charge money for a service. Do you not believe in Capitalism? I think Lori does.
Again, I have no loyalty to any company. I think investing a couple hundred bucks to get on with a great carrier is wise. I also believe that these events that introduce recruiters to applicants are essential to put a face to a resume.
PS, I have heard Lori's prep is good, but so are the other companies.
