My point is why the extreme emphasis on where, what kind and what was your gpa, when not all candidates have to have it. I don't believe a 4year degree makes you a better pilot, however it does show that you wanted to be a Delta pilot as it has, at least in recent history, been a hard requirement.
I agree with you that it is a bit odd that the flows are not required to meet DAL off the street hiring minimums (4 year degree) but who says DAL is putting an "extreme emphasis" on anything in particular?
