My class had three AF guys - one that flew 747s and was the squadron CO, one that flew C-141s, and one that flew F-15s. He was a squadron commander, as well as a top gun (or whatever it is in the AF) graduate, AND he ran the ROTC program at a major university.
Additionally, we had at least one 121 captain, a 121 check airman, and multiple guys with a couple grand worth of 91/135 TPIC.
Based upon that info, I can confidently - without any doubt - say that Frontier is not avoiding guys that can move on in a very short time.
I believe the driving factor is qualified guys who will fit in very well within the pilot group, the company culture, and truly believe in what the company is trying to accomplish.
100% concur with this opinion. My class also had several military guys (C-130, Blackhawks, P-3 instructor, etc) lots of guys with 121 TPIC, 747 freight guys, and several very experienced 91 capts.
Common thread...qualified guys who will fit in very well within the pilot group, the company culture, and truly believe in what the company is trying to accomplish.
