That is incorrect. A four year degree did not become a requirement at Compass until Delta became more involved operationally, possibly SOC. I believe it was late '08 or early '09. I was hired in '08 and flew with a handful of Captain's that were hired in '07 that did not have degrees. As to your number of less than 10 out of 400, I have no idea. I think it is more than that but most definitely still a very small minority.

CPZ hiring MINIMUMS matched NWA at the time, keeping in mind that NWA did not have college degree listed as a minimum pre-merger. I doubt very many were hired without it, but it wasn't an explicit requirement like DAL. CPZ mins were changed to match DAL's at some point.

**This has been hashed out on here before but the structure of the XJ Flow and the CP Flow was very different. Associated risks and rewards were different and language was certainly different.
