I think it was very difficult to get hired without the degree. You either needed to be a former ACA/Indy pilot with contacts in IAD or live in MSP and be very experienced. Like I said, I am sure that almost all of the guys probably had the degree. It just wasn't a requirement and some made it without the degree.

I remember this because during the time post sale of CPZ to TSH I flew with some guys who were worried that the language was going to be changed to "flows must meet all current DAL hiring minimums" which is similar to XJ's, and these CA's were worried they would have to somehow finish college while flying at CPZ to flow to DAL. That language did not come in to the sunset agreement however.
