I got a passport in one day in MSP at the passport office. Not sure where your located but there offices in MSP, ATL, DTW, and NYC. You can make an appointment on line or just show up at the office. The appointment in MSP was a waste of effort because we still had to grab a number and wait in line!?!
Google Passport Bureau and you can get locations and times of service. Also no fees to third party vendors.
