Often, it's MUCH cheaper to buy on delta.com and avoid the buy confirmed less option. the buy confirmed for less price is based upon the most expensive fare available. Even with the discount, it's often cheaper to just buy the ticket on delta.com. Kind of messed up but thats how it works.
Are you checking at the same time? I have never noticed that. I open the Delta.com site and then get into travel net. Waiting even 20 minutes can result in a big price change if a bucket fills up or tickets on hold are cancelled.
