He was 100% dead on accurate.
I hate NY too. When Delta closed the BOS pilot base, most of the guys said, "I'll just commute to JFK and fly the ER."
I said, "Have fun with that, every time it rains, or snows, or any other excuse, you'll miss sign in."
I had already flown in/out of LGA/JFK/EWR for many years with cancelled checks and I KNEW how F'd up that place can get when the first snow flake hits the ground.
It's a mess on a clear day, now throw in a line of thunderstorms coming from the west, blocking the departures, now you are number 42 for takeoff.
Or better yet, try to deice! How long will that take? Nobody knows!
