Just to point out, reserve FOs don't have the ability to avoid azzhats. It's either get off the trip or use other methods. They can't bid around them.
That being said, I've only had 1 CA in 6 years here that I just didn't get along with.
And reserve guys are usually the ones flying with the known idiots. Just look at open time and after a few months you can usually tell who the guys are that nobody wants to fly with. And that goes for both seats....reserve captains usually get stuck with the FO's that are idiots.
